Part of Palm Beach County soon might be declared a no-flyover zone. That’s flyover as in the type of “urban interchange” of sweeping elevated highway lanes that county road planners had proposed at six major interchanges from the western edges of coastal cities like West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens to Wellington. A long-range traffic study released Thursday shows no need for five of the six proposed urban interchanges —one at Forest Hill Boulevard and State Road 7 in Wellington and four on Okeechobee Boulevard from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to SR 7.
